Although x-rays are often not a requirement before chiropractic treatment, we do offer x-ray on-site. Following a thorough history and examination of your injury or condition, if your physician deems it necessary to take an x-ray, we can do so immediately. Recent trauma, such as an auto accident or sports injury can lead to fractures or dislocations which must be ruled out by x-ray before proceeding with any sort of therapy. Arthritis and many pathologies can also be seen on x-ray.

X-ray is a safe and effective injury-screening tool, but soft tissue (tissue other than bone) is poorly visualized. If concussion, spinal disc herniation, ligament or muscle damage is suspected, your physician can refer you out for an MRI.
